Tournament process

Tournaments feature 18 or 36 holes, and 9 holes for "Mini-Matiss" (7 to 9 y.o.). The departures will be done according to the availability of the golf courses. They can be done into consecutive or cross. The time of play will have to be respected.

Awards 

At each tournament, a trophy and a certificate-gift will be given to winner of each category. There will be winner in each category for the Gross score and the Net score. Take note that a signed index card is mandatory to reach the classification of Net score.

For the Great final, a cup will be awarded for each category winner. Winners will divide the trophy to be defended at each year.

Awards will be given for the best improvement in each category and the best attitude.

Tournament tie-breaking rules

In case there is a tie for any category first position, there shall be a sudden death playoff. The player with the best score, after playing the number of holes necessary to break the tie, will win.

For breaking second or third position ties, a chip and putt contest will take place on practice green. The player with the best score, after playing the number of holes necessary to break the tie, will win.

These rules will apply for all Classics tournaments and the Great final.

Bonus Points

The player with the highest score in their category in the first round of a 36 hole tournament will receive a 300 point bonus. In the case of a tie for first place, each player will receive 300 points. However, points attributed for the position according to the player's standing will be on the total of both rounds.

In the case of a tie between numerous players, the sum of all bonus points divided by the number of players will be attributed to each player.

The player will receive a 500 point bonus for under par on a 9 hole or an 18 hole course.

Official Matiss Tour Rules

1. R.C.G.A. rules prevail.

2. The Matiss Tour code of conduct is in effect throughout the duration of the tournament.

3. Always follow the group ahead.

4. f you are unsure of a regulation or procedure, you may play a second ball, and announce and identify the ball being used for your official scoring total. You must advise the tournament committee at the end of the round.

5. The use of a caddie is forbidden.

6. After each hole, the scorekeeper must verify the score with the competitor and record it.

7. At the end of the tournament you must sign and return the scorecard to the committee immediately. No modifications can be made once a card has been signed and turned in to the committee.

8. Any golfer who does not complete the round is disqualified.

Code of Conduct

- No alcohol
- No tobacco products
- No indecent language (insults)
- No excessive noise
- No throwing of golf clubs

Violation of this code will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament.

Dress Code

Appropriate golf clothing:
- Collared shirt
- No jeans
- Soft spike shoes

 The committee reserves the right to exclude any golfer from the tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct

The Matiss Tour commits to offering golfers a quality tournament. We strive for harmony and good manners on the golf course. 

Here are the rules to follow:

1. It is forbidden to speak to players. This could lead to a penalty for the competitor.

2. All participants must carry their own golf bag or use a hand cart.

3. Keep a distance of 30 yards from players.

4. You must stay on the paths or at the end of the fairways unless you are close to the green.

5. You are permitted to help a player look for a ball if the player requests.

6. No indecent language, insults or alcohol will be tolerated on the course.

7. Advise the tournament official if you witness an infraction being committed.
