Season 2009 is here at last...
|
Matiss Tour is happy to launch its 4th season of junior golf. We are very proud of last year’s membership that went over 400 members. We will keep working hard to give junior golfers of the province of Quebec the opportunity to demonstrate their talent in properly organized competitions.
Changes for 2009:
Juvenile boys
This category will now be regrouping participants aged at 14 and 15 years old only. 16 years old participants will be included in the junior category. This new way of dividing the juvenile category aims at grouping participants with similar physical development and balancing ages.
Identifying your category
This year, the participant’s age on the day of the tournament will determine the category in which he will play rather than using the date of birth on May 1st as done in previous years. This will reduce the age gap in the same category. The participant changing category during the same season and willing to run for points in the overall rankings may choose to be upgraded in the junior category at the beginning of the season.
Taxes on golf fees and membership
As Matiss Tour has increased considerably its membership, we now have to charge taxes on services but we continue searching for sponsors to help lower the costs and help you save as much as possible. But budget wise, fees have to go up.

New in 2009
A junior girl’s classic
A new classic dedicated to junior girls will be held in Quebec City on July 9th at the Golf de la Faune. The subscription will include a golf clinic. We anticipate a participation of 120 junior girls in this tournament, a first for junior girls in golf in the province of Quebec. We are looking for partners to give these girls a memorable experience.
A trip at the Canadian Open
Matiss Tour organizes a three day trip to Toronto to see the best PGA players in action at the Canadian Open RBC. Details on this trip will be posted on our website later on.
We wish you a great season 2009!
